Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Max is about 5 years old and was surrendered by his family who had him since a puppy, because he bit their 12 year old son on his face. There was no puncture wound, boy did not require medical care. The story Max cannot tell is why was this boy's face near his mouth? What was this boy doing at that time? Max is no angel but he does not bite unprovoked. Max is dog selective, so some dogs he likes and some he doesn't. Max does better with adult women. Max does not like his food to be taken away (resource guarding). Max is good in the car. Good on leash. He allows grooming. Max loves his person and is very playful and happy. Max likes squeaky toys and he loves it when mum makes pup cups for him. We don't think Max was treated well in his previous home. We believe that harsh methods of discipline were used on him and he was harassed by family members. Max has come a long way since he has been with us. He is potty trained to use a dog door and he enjoys his outside time. He is crate trained. He eats in his crate and he puts himself to bed, but we think in a home he would really enjoy sleeping with his human. No kids for Max. He gets very anxious around children and even though his bite was provoked, we will not rehome Max to a home with children. Respectful older kids would be fine. We do not know about cats. Max is a great dog, but needs an experienced dog owner.
