Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Romeo is a 60-pound, three-year-old (best guess), loyal and loving, white and tan Bulldog/Terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian.
Found on Mother’s day 2024, emaciated and lethargic, tied to a post, a dog-loving good Samaritan untied him and brought him to the vet. He was not microchipped and had no tags or collar.
After exhaustive diagnostics, it was found that Romeo had consumed a large child’s toy which had gotten lodged in his intestine. He has recovered from his abdominal surgery and is gaining weight.
Romeo is nervous at first when meeting new people. He may bark, but once he knows you, you’re his best friend. It just takes time and patience. He’s looking for a quiet home in need of hunk of a dog with patient people willing to work on his training.
He is good with other dogs and cats upon proper introduction. He can be a barker when left alone so no condos or apartments for this boy.
Romeo is now very healthy, neutered, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, Bordetella and leptospiros, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative, fecal-tested, and microchipped.
His adoption fee of $175 benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue. To meet and possibly adopt Romeo, please fill out an adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/dog-adoption-application/ and follow up to meet him by e-mailing friendsofpetraits@gmail.com
