Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Mink in Portsmouth, VA-! Mink is a 1 year old Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd mix. She is about 60lbs, is microchipped, spayed and up to date on all vaccinations and preventatives.
Mink was a previous foster with ASF that was adopted out when she was younger, but was recently returned due to an aggressive encounter with one of the adopter's dogs. She has since been with a foster and was spayed. She does well with the foster's dogs (medium to large sizes), cat and chickens. However, small dogs and evasive cats would not be the best fit for her. Larger dogs or for her to be the only dog would be the best. She does well with correction and redirection.
She is protective of her people and has natural guard dog instincts. With that being said, a breed savvy owner is needed to make sure she thrives in her new home. She is house and crate trained, knows how to sit and lay down, and does well with stay/wait and recall. She does very well in public and loves to meet new people. She does pull on the lead when walking, but walks wonderfully with a head halter. She loves to give lots and lots of kisses to her people and foster dog-siblings. She loves belly rubs and to cuddle up on the couch or bed. She is such a sweet girl and is the cutest!
