My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Matty
 Matters and Amazing Mazey

Matty and Mazey. Two doggies, dumped on a road in Sargent, Texas, July of 23. Two little sisters alone and on their own. They took care of each other while they waited for someone to see them and take them in.

MATTY … MATTY MATTERS!

Gold patches accessorize her short, silky black hair; she is very much an alpha girl. One could guess that in an alternate universe where doggies ruleMatty would surely be driving a shiny red Camaro. She likes to challenge the rules. She needs discipline, but learns fast.

MAZEY … AMAZING MAZEY!

This little doggie just wants to please. She really wants too, but her sis can be very distractingMazey see, Mazey do …”  She is very apologetic though!

Look into those eyes. About all you can say is, “Yes Mazey, you’re forgiven! Just don’t do it again, ok? I’m running out of socks …”

Amazing Mazey, she’s a little nurturer. Oh, and I am sure Mazey’s choice of cars would be, get this … a little yellow Volkswagen beetle. Yeah! (Oh: It kind of resembles the cat.)

Pull out the lawn chairs and sit down. Matty and Mazey will provide all the entertainment you need! We suggest you give them a fenced in the yard to bounce off of. They love, love, love to run, tumble and play!

The girls are almost two years old now. They have had their shots, are spayed and are well cared for. (All records are listed with Matagord Veterinary Clinic in Bay City.)

We must find a loving forever home for these two precocious girls due to the fact we already had two doggies to begin with (and two kitties as well) when Matty and Mazey moved in. Wanting to travel … we must make this hard choice. Thank you for checking us out.

                                               *****************

These two precious babies are ready to move right into your home and your heart! If you would like to make Matty and Mazey a loving part of your life and family, please contact Sharon at lightningbug77@yahoo.com.

More about this rescue

All Texas Dachshund Rescue, Inc., is made up of a group of volunteers whose primary goal is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home disabled and otherwise endangered Dachshunds who have found themselves homeless for one reason or another. It is our policy that no dogs will be adopted out without first being spayed or neutered, have had all vaccines updated, are heartworm negative, are on heartworm preventative, and have had all other health issues we consider important to the pet’s life addressed that we are able.

All incoming Dachshunds will be placed in temporary foster homes, where they will be evaluated while living indoors with the foster families in a safe and nurturing home environment, until such time as they are ready to be placed in a loving, adoptive, forever home.
