My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Windy: The Storm Survivor with a Heart Full of Love!

Well, do I have a story for you. My name used to be Bailey, but one dark and stormy night, something terrifying happened. The wind howled, lightning flashed, and I found myself lost and alone. The storm raged on, and I wandered, scared and soaked, not knowing where to turn.

The Stormy Night:

During that fierce storm, I got loose and was swept away by the howling winds. I was just a small, 1-year-old Brittany girl, trying to find my way. The thunder was deafening, and the rain poured down, but I kept going, hoping to find shelter.

A Ray of Hope:

Just when I thought all hope was lost, a kind lady found me shivering and scared. She took me in, dried me off, and gave me a warm place to stay. She discovered I had a microchip, and we found my owners. But in a twist of fate, they didn’t want me back. My heart sank, but the kind lady decided to give us to a Volunteer of NBRAN and they took me home and changed my name. Windy, in honor of the storm that changed my life.

My New Beginning:

I may have been scared that night, but I’m now one of the happiest girls you’ll ever meet. I’m an energetic, orange and white, 27 lb spayed Brittany puppy who loves to run and play. But I also have a sweet side—I adore cuddling and will snuggle as much as you let me. After all, I need to run off my energy, but when the day winds down, I’m ready to curl up in your lap.

My Dream Home:

  • Secure Fence: I need a wooden or wrought iron physical fence that’s secure. I never want to get lost again.
  • Playmates: I’d love to have some furry friends to run, chase, and tug with. Together, we can keep the yard safe from critters.
  • Forever Family: I’m looking for a loving forever home where we can start our life together, filled with fun and cuddles.

From My Heart to Yours:

I’m Windy, the storm survivor with a heart full of love. Despite my scary past, I’m ready to bring joy and affection into your life. Let’s find each other and start our forever journey together. I promise to fill your days with happiness and your nights with warm snuggles.

If you’re looking for a happy, energetic, and loving companion who has braved the storm and came out stronger, look no further. I’m Windy, and I can’t wait to meet you!

From my Rescuers:  We had her for a few days and nights.  She is super smart, was easy to train and is well-mannered in the house, not hyper at all.  Most lovable girl ever.

Additional adoption info

Each adopter must complete an application on our website at www.nbran.org. A volunteer will contact you and work with you to find the perfect fit for your family and the brittany. A homevisit is required, as this is the only way we can be sure the right dog is being placed with you. Once the right brittany has been found, we will help transport him we only ask the adopting family to drive the last leg if it is a long distance adoption.
