My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone, my name is Ares!

I'm a pretty laid back boy for my age, I do love a good game of tug with my toys, and the occasional game of fetch.

I do really well in my kennel when my foster Mom is at work, I love to snuggle when she's home and at night I like to sleep on the bed.

I'm completely house-trained and I will sit by the door if I need to go out, I do really well walking on a leash, I enjoy playtime with other dogs and love going to the dog park.

I'm hoping my forever home has a dog with the same amount of energy as me (but I don't require another dog) and either a fenced in yard or someone who can take me on leisurely walks!

I love going to different places and if you're looking for a brewery buddy, I'm your dude!

I can be a little grumpy when I'm relaxing at home and I'm not a fan of my legs being touched, so my foster mom says I would do better in a house with no children. When I was younger, my boundaries weren't always respected, so I have some sensitivities that my foster mom is helping me work though.

I cant wait to find my perfect family! Let's meet soon!

All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spay/neuter before adoption unless age is a factor with a puppy younger than 6-12 months at the time of adoption. If that is the case, the spay/neuter will be covered in the adoption fee and the owner will be responsible to have the procedures completed at a Warrior Dog Rescue Veterinarian at the appropriate time.

Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.

More about this rescue

The mission of Warrior Dog Rescue is to save the dogs that are homeless, left abandoned in shelters, are surrendered by their owners, those that are being abused and neglected, and those that are left wandering. We are committed to providing them the medical care they need, helping them to overcome their past by providing them loving, educated foster homes, finding them their perfect forever home by means of a thorough adoption process, and guiding them on their journey into their new life. They all deserve a “good dog life… every single one of them.”

Warrior Dog Rescue will be a model rescue by partnering with overcrowded shelters that need to make room for more abandoned dogs. We will continue to educate others about responsible dog ownership in regards to safety, spay/neuter, nutrition, obedience, socializing, abuse, and neglect. We acknowledge that we will have a role in this industry to take the lead on providing awareness to others in the community and across the country. Every dog will know what it feels like to be loved till the end of their life.
