Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Tuxedo is quite the character! He will entertain you with his affectionate and sassy personality. He loves to cuddle, is playful and funny, and a very active boy. Keep those elbows covered, because Tuxedo is also a love nipper when he wants affection or canned food and it doesn't come soon enough - it's all in good fun. This muscular boy flew all the way from Kuwait to find his forever family. He is an Arabian Mau, and they are known for being curious, active, and intelligent.
Tuxedo is a survivor of neurological FIP. He does have some neurological damage and walks like he has mild cerebellar hypoplasia. This doesn't slow him down much, he's just a little more clumsy and wobbly than the average cat. Tuxedo would likely prefer to be an only cat. He is a sassy boy and might instigate with other cats in the home. He may do okay with a dog friend.
Tuxedo is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested Felv/FIV negative and has received a dental. He does require a special diet - he gets rather itchy and starts scratching off fur when he eats most dry cat foods. He seems to do well on grain free or restricted ingredient dry food.
FIP is a mutation of feline coronavirus that can happen in some cats who have lower immune systems or who have a genetic predisposition. There is no continued care required after treatment. Most cats have been exposed to feline coronavirus and only a small percentage will experience a mutation. You can read more about FIP here: https://www.sockfip.org
