My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Locket is an adorable 3-4 year old ( but could be younger), loving and sweet terrier mix at a petite 7lbs who could gain a little weight. She is current on all core vaccines, HW-, spayed and microchipped. She does excellent in the car. Locket is a bit bashful and cautious at first, but is quick to warm up. She loves snuggling, affection, her toys and especially being held. She is starting to get good at fetch! She is very much a Velcro dog so prepare to have a little dog shaped shadow if she is your girl. She is well mannered and sweet, loves to spin around in joy when it is time to eat or go outside. Locket loves the outdoors, running around and rolling in the grass, her hobby is grasshopper hunting. She LOVES her people! She prefer to be accompanied outside or she will linger by the door and wait for you instead of doing her business quick. She also wants to follow you out the door so she needs to be secured when going in and out of the house. She is a little vocal at crate time and will do some dramatic mournful howls. She is happy to run right into her crate though and get her treats. She is not a barker otherwise, just as she is settling into her crate. Then she sleeps through the night. Once she gets to know you she will greet you with a full body wag and a BIG case of the zoomies. She currently has 3 foster brothers and at this time does not really engage in play with them, she loves dog toys though, and brings them all over the house with her. Shoes need to be picked up or she thinks they are toys as well. She will lay next to her foster brothers and is very happy to go on walks with them but does not seek a lot of interaction from them at this time. Fosters think she would be fine as an only dog if her new family is not gone for long periods of time during the day or will be happy with other small to medium dogs as companions as well. She is potty trained and has not had any accidents in the house. She loves walks and usually ignores people and dogs alike as they go by. She is way more confident on walks with her foster brothers than if she is goes on a walk solo. If she is alone cars and new noises scare her more than when in a group. She definitely learns from them and obtains confidence. She would make a great little walking and hiking buddy as long as the trail is appropriate for her size. She has not been cat or kid tested but she’d do best with older calm children 10+, as the running around and loud noises will scare her. If you’re interested in meeting the sweetest dog ever, who is going to look at you with such love for treating her with kindness, complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms as the first step. We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Locket’s adoption fee is $375 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.
