My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sookie and Winnie are siblings to Pebbles and Mitzi, who were all born April 26th – unfortunately, their mom was hit by a car when she was just a few days old and these sweet babies were left for dead.

Pebbles, Sookie, Winnie and Mitzi were taken into foster care and bottle fed by an amazing volunteer, and now they’re all thriving and ready for their homes!

Their mom was a chihuahua, and we think dad was also as all the pups are SUPER small. Sookie and Winnie weigh about 3.5 lbs each - We do not believe they will get over 12-14 lbs full grown, if that.

Both puppies are VERY sweet and love to snuggle whenever they can. They will be attached to your hip and with you every step of the way.

Sookie is the mostly brown one – She is the one seen dozing off in the bed in her video. She’s the nap queen, and queen of everything else. She does what she wants, when she wants. She’s very much like Pebbles in terms of being sassy. She is obsessed with being held and will cry a little if you are in the same room with her and she’s not being held.

Winnie is the white and brown spotted one – She is a bit more laid back, despite she doesn’t look like it in the video. Winnie will watch everyone do something first and then if she deems it fun or worthy, she will participate. She’s very relaxed.

These girls will keep you entertained and laughing – they love everyone they meet! They enjoy their toys and running around with them. Once they are tired, they will curl up in your lap, or in the crick of your neck, or anywhere they deems worthy, and go right to sleep.

They are VERY treat and food motivated.

These pups love all dogs, love all cats, do not mind children and would thrive in all types of households. Please keep in mind for young children or extremely large dogs that while these pups are playful and full of energy, they are still very small and need to be handled with LOTS of care and love.

Unless specified at the top of this bio, this animal is located in Texas in foster care. They are available for transport once adopted – There are different companies we use, all are USDA licensed. We have transport companies that can go directly to your door (this option costs slightly more, but it’s a smaller transport and more one on one care). This company can go as far as the Canadian border along the east coast.

We use larger companies who are just as fantastic, this transport is included in the adoption fee, but they meet at general stops along the route, depending on where adopters are located for that specific transport. Most transports have stops in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Connecticut.

Transports leave every 1-3 weeks, depending. We go over more specifics once you are an approved adopter.

Additional adoption info

Most of our animals are located in Texas in foster care. 90% of our animals are adopted prior to transport, and adopter must pick up animal from the transport company who brings them up north (all USDA companies). We do have private companies that bring them directly to your home/office also. Sometimes we do have animals located in foster care up north - if this is the case we do put at the very top of the animal's profile where the animal is located in the north.

Once approved, we can put you in contact with the foster family to learn more specifics about the animal you are applying for.

We do try and process applications within 1-2 business days. Please make sure to list all appropriate information such as references contact information, vet contact information, current animal information, landlord information, etc.

More about this rescue

We are an animal rescue dedicated to helping neglected, abandoned, stray and homeless animals find their forever homes.

We found a need in our area due to the little to no options for the animals in rural areas in Texas - where most animals that ended up in our shelters were euthanized for space.

We have been around for 5 years and happily adopted many animals into forever homes where they are thriving and living their best lives.
