Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):   68 lbs as of 9/1

Gets Along With:  Other dogs! Laufer does seem interested in cats but has not been fully cat tested so we would only recommend him with dog-savvy cats and proper introductions. Laufer has not lived with children but has been friendly with any children he's met.

I’ve traveled all the way from the sunny fields of South Carolina to the historic streets of Washington, D.C., and I’m ready to be your new fur-ever friend! I’m on the prowl for a loving home where I can be your purr-sonal happiness booster. Whether you’re a jogger, a hiker, or a Netflix binger, I’ll be right by your side. 

What My Foster Says About Me:  Laufer is such a joy to have around! He is an affectionate, happy, silly boy who still thinks he's a tiny puppy. He is super sweet and loyal, he wants a family to adore!! Laufer will lie under your desk while you work just to be near you. He loves meeting new people and dogs on walks. He's very curious about his surroundings and loves to go on adventures. He does this cute thing when he's comfortable with someone, even people, he just met--he melts. He will lie down right there next to them and even roll over for a belly rub. He’s smart, goofy and cuddly! He’s doing really well with house training and learning commands. Laufer loves my resident dog and has given her so much confidence. She can be fearful on walks, but with Laufer she just walks right by his side soaking in his unwavering love of life. He loves to play with her and all of his other dog park friends, and is a big hit at daycare. He also LOVES the water!! He had the best time at the lake and would love to become a beach bum if his new family would allow it. We don't understand how he hasn't been adopted yet, he's the BEST boy and will be such a great addition to whoever is lucky enough to be his forever human.

We cannot guarantee any dog is fully potty trained as new environments may cause regression or take time to adjust to.
