My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rango, a stunning five-year-old mixed breed dog who turns heads with his coyote-like appearance and captivating eyes. His coat, a handsome blend of fawn and wheaten, complements his striking yellow eyes with dark brown irises. Though initially unsure in new situations, Rango is building confidence and bonds quickly with those who spend time with him, especially if treats are involved!

Rango's history is a mystery since he came to New Leash on Life from animal control, but once comfortable, Rango's personality shines through. His tail wags, and he becomes a relaxed, affectionate companion, still seeking reassurance but much more at ease. Weighing just over 30 pounds, Rango is a medium-sized dog who will probably gain a bit more weight as he settles into his new home.

Rango is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, and receives regular protection against fleas, ticks, and heartworms. His adoption fee is $75. Give Rango the loving home he deserves and watch him thrive!

**All New Leash on Life dogs must be adopted to families willing to have their pets be allowed inside - especially at night. No dog is allowed to be put on a "tie out or chain outside and should be walked on a leash when not in a fenced in yard. ** (Pet ID D24-062)

More about this rescue

New Leash on Life is dedicated to improving the welfare of companion animals in our community through shelter, placement, spay/neuter, education and awareness.

Our goals include the following:

To educate the public about the importance of having their pets spayed or neutered, and to provide low or no cost surgeries for those in need.

To shelter and provide care for stray, abused, or relinquished animals.

To educate the general population about the seriousness of pet overpopulation.

To end euthanasia as a means of controlling pet overpopulation.

To find good homes for the animals in our care.

Our hope for the future is that there will be no unwanted, unloved or abandoned companion animal. We will continue with our aggressive spay/neuter campaign and our owner education programs in the hopes that any pet ever adopted will find a permanent, loving home. We believe that with the involvement of our community we will make a significant impact on the welfare of companion animals, but we need your help and understanding. Together, will make the difference.
