How Nova arrived:
Nova was brought in by their our Humane Law Enforcement team, on 6/29/24.

Why Nova is the one for you:
Nova has been a little shy in our care, but with a bit of patience and extra love, she is sure to gain confidence. This sweet girl may need some time to come out of her shell, but once she does, she will be a loyal and loving companion. Nova's ideal home is one where she can feel safe and secure, with owners who are willing to give her the time and attention she needs to blossom. With the right environment and plenty of positive reinforcement, Nova will thrive and become a cherished member of her new family.

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.
