Welcome Mona, our little 10 pound cutie! Mona can be a bit shy when first introduced to new folks but warms up quickly. At 8 years old, she is looking for that perfect lap to call her own. She loves to receive human attention and will sometimes get a bit pushy when other littles want attention. She does respond well when corrected with "No". Her foster mom says she is great when walking on a leash but loves the after-walk couch time even more! Her best fit would be as an only dog or with a small, male, laid-back doggy. Mona is house, crate and leash trained, must have a securely fenced yard in her forever home. Households with young children are not a good fit for Mona. Mona is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Her adoption fee of $350 helps offset the rescue's medical expenses. Adoption is a lifetime commitment. After an application and a verbal interview is completed and it is determined that the adoption is a compatible match, a contract is signed with specific guidelines. An adoption fee (usually between $250-$500) to help off-set medical, feeding and Rescue costs is collected. The contract states that at any time the adoption does not work out, the dog is to be returned to our Rescue group for alternate placement. The dog is not to be 'given away' or 'rehomed' or 'taken to the pound'. If there are other dogs in the home, they must meet prior to adoption. All family members in the household have to agree to the adoption. No dog is to be adopted as a 'gift'. No out of state adoptions.

Adoptions can be arranged by appointment or our dogs can be met on the first Saturday of the month at Petsmart, Desert Ridge Noon to 3:00 PM.
