My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet, Relaxed, Charming

Meet Peanut Brittle, the sweet and mellow gentleman who's ready to find a cozy spot in your heart - and your home. At 6 years old, this calm and relaxed boy has mastered the art of lounging. All he needs to be content is a soft, comfy spot to snooze the day away.

During his time in the shelter, Peanut Brittle has been pretty low-key, preferring naps over playtime. While he hasn't shown much interest in full cuddle sessions at the shelter, we believe that in a calm environment, he could blossom into a snuggly companion. He enjoys pets and leans in for them, hinting that he could become a cuddle bug once he feels safe and secure in a consistent, loving home.

This darling dude is resilient! Peanut Brittle is blind, and is being treated for a nasal fungus. The treatment for the fungus can take several months, but it's temporary! He takes some oral medications twice a day without any fuss, showing just how good-natured he is.

Peanut Brittle is looking for a home with calm, patient people who can offer him a stable environment. Because he's blind, a consistent layout will help him navigate his new surroundings with confidence; blind cats are amazing, and they learn to get around their home by using their superpower memory and hearing. Show Peanut Brittle where things are, and soon he will be walking around the house like a cat with perfect vision; in fact, you might sometimes forget that he is blind!

If you're searching for a peaceful furry friend who just wants a comfy spot to call his own, Peanut Brittle might be the perfect addition to your family. Give this gentle boy a chance, and you'll discover just how sweet life can be with Peanut Brittle by your side. In return for your love and support, he'll offer you the gentle companionship and quiet affection that only a tender soul like Peanut Brittle can give!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
