My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

** Pixie is currently in the shelter, and she is currently available for adoption! Email applications@chicagocaninerescue.org to set up a meet + greet! **

In the shelter's cozy corner, Pixie awaits her forever home-a small, scruffy dog whose presence sparkles with whimsical charm. With tousled fur and eyes that twinkle like stars, Pixie brings a sprinkle of enchantment to everyone she meets.

Pixie's days are filled with hope and anticipation. Whether she's chasing toys or snuggling up for cuddles, she approaches each moment with the enthusiasm of a magical creature on a quest for love.

Pixie's heart is as golden as the pixie dust she playfully sprinkles around. She eagerly awaits a family to share her adventures, offering boundless affection to brighten their days and fill their lives with joy.

More about this shelter

CCRF was founded in 2001 to help find permanent, loving homes for homeless dogs in our city. In just over seven years, CCRF has saved the lives of over 2,000 dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.

CCRF now assists the animals that are the MOST vulnerable in Midwest - the dogs and cats that are slated for euthanasia because they are too old, too young, injured, have disabilities, or have simply been overlooked for too long by potential adopters at other shelters.
