My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

** Toby is currently in the shelter, and she is currently available for adoption! Email applications@chicagocaninerescue.org to set up a meet + greet! **

Toby stands out with his fluffy white coat that mirrors the whimsical charm of Doc Brown from "Back to the Future." His wise gaze and playful demeanor evoke the spirit of the iconic scientist, making him a delightful companion who brings smiles wherever he goes.

From chasing squirrels to pondering the mysteries of treat time travel, Toby's days are filled with curiosity and adventure. With a heart as warm as the flux capacitor, he's always ready with a comforting snuggle or a fluffy paw to brighten any day.

Toby's presence is a reminder that the most enchanting characters can be found in the everyday-like a fluffy dog who embodies the timeless spirit of a beloved cinematic scientist, making every moment an adventure through time.

More about this shelter

CCRF was founded in 2001 to help find permanent, loving homes for homeless dogs in our city. In just over seven years, CCRF has saved the lives of over 2,000 dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.

CCRF now assists the animals that are the MOST vulnerable in Midwest - the dogs and cats that are slated for euthanasia because they are too old, too young, injured, have disabilities, or have simply been overlooked for too long by potential adopters at other shelters.
