Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Are you looking for a big gentleman to come and steal your heart? Well let me introduce you to Bowser! This big handsome boy is so excited to find his fur-ever home and spoil his new family with love and laughs from his sweet personality and silly antics.
**Bowser has a discounted adoption fee to help find him his furrever home! Please note that applicants are still required to follow our adoption process and meet the requirements of this pet in order to be approved to adopt**
~ Bowser is looking for an active home that will be able to bring him on lots of adventures ~ Bowser is looking for a single adult or couple to call his own ~ This big man will need to be signed up for training prior to going into his fur-ever home to help him learn his manners
Regularly Exhibited Behaviours Noticed: - High Energy - Mouthy - Jumpy - Under-Socialized - Touch sensitivity
Explanation of Behaviours: - Bowser is an active dog and will require plenty of daily exercise, training, stimulation and enrichment. - Bowser can become jumpy and on occasions mouthy when he is excited, playing or wanting attention. - He is under-socialized and will need his new family to properly and positively socialize him to the world around him. He should not be forced into new situations, interactions or environments but should be slowly introduced to them positively to create proper associations at his own pace. -Bowser can be touch sensitive at times and he will need slow interactions on his terms.
This dog would benefit from: - Active home - A family of all adults - Lots of training and socialization - Lots of time and attention - A family with large dog experience
Training needs/behaviours that need to be worked with for this dog: - Basic training - Basic Manners (Mouthing/Jumping Up) - Socialization - Desensitization
**For more information on any behaviours stated above, please check out our behaviour fact sheet: https://kwsphumane.ca/BehavioursandDefinitions
**Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets. They will be experiencing a new environment and meeting new people, which means they may not exhibit the same behaviours they did in their foster videos or while in foster care.

Come into the Centre and if you see a pet you like, you are able to do a "Meet and Greet" with that pet. Spend some time in alone with the pet or take a dog out for a short walk. If you are still interested in adopting the pet you can meet with one of our Adoption Counsellors who will have you fill out and application and will ask you some questions about the environment in which you live. If you seem like a wonderful match and your envirnoment meets the needs of the pet then your application should be approved!
