My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lemon Drop, a young soul brimming with energy and love. Her playful nature is contagious, making every moment spent with her a delightful adventure. Yet, she also carries a touch of shyness, a gentle reminder of her need for patience and understanding. Lemon Drop thrives in the company of kids over 12, her friendly demeanor shining through in their interactions. She will need time to adjust and decompress in her new home, a testament to her resilient spirit. Adopting Lemon Drop isn`t just about giving a pet a home. It`s about welcoming a bundle of joy that will fill your life with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love.

More about this shelter

We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
