My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Amber is a sweet and healthy Shiba Inu, 8 yrs old and 22 lbs. From the time she was a puppy, Amber was raised around children, other dogs, and many friends and family, so she is very socialized and well-tempered. She still has some core Shiba Inu qualities like she is independent and smart and only sometimes feels like coming to her name. She respects boundaries like open doors, but should not be trusted off-leash as she will take off exploring and only come back at her leisure. She blows her coat a couple times a year so requires brushing. She makes a great apartment dog because she is fully housebroken, sleeps a lot, and doesn't demand much attention. She is a little shy at first to new things, people, or pets but maintains her sweet and friendly disposition to adults and children alike. If she has a view out a front window or access to a yard she can bark a lot, but is responsive to spray bark collar. She's a great dog, and our family would love to see her go to a good home.
