My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

To make the adoption process faster and easier, please visit www.almosthomeohio.org and complete our online application!

Teagan is 5 yrs old.   Teagan is a cuteness overload in a small package. Teagan’s has been treated for heartworm, so she isn’t permitted free run of the house while her activities have to be limited. She is treat and food motivated, which should make any training easier to accomplish. More importantly, Teagan is one bright young dog. Her foster reports that nothing, absolutely nothing, gets past her. She is very attentive. Outside she likes to explore. Inside, she will play for short periods with toys on her own, but what Teagan really wants is to be with people. She loves to cuddle and will sit for long periods if she’s being petted. Her foster says that Teagan cannot  wag her tail fast enough when she’s being taken out of her crate in the morning. One of Teagan’s favorite things to do is give kisses. In meeting strangers, she is friendly, wags her tail and allows herself to be petted. She is interested in people more than other dogs. Amazingly for an energetic, curious dog, she doesn’t bark much at all. Teagan is waiting as patiently as she can for her forever human(s) to take her home and for the tail wagging, petting and kissing to never end.

The adoption fee for Teagan is $400.

Additional adoption info

If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs please go directly to www.almosthomeohio.org for an application. Once the application is submitted, our adoption team can discuss the information on the application with you to determine if one of our dogs would be a good fit for your home. Lastly, a home visit will be done either by one of our volunteers or another reputable rescue volunteer in your area. We do adopt out of state, but it is up to the adopter to come meet and take the dog home. Sound like a lot to go through for a dog? It really isn't as complicated as it seems and it's the best way to ensure a good match. Please contact adoptions@almosthomeohio.org with any additional questions you may have after reviewing the information on our website.

More about this rescue

Almost Home Dog Rescue of Ohio is made up of a small (but growing) group of enthusiastic volunteers who want to make a difference in the lives of homeless dogs. Our background is with purebred collies and collie mixes but on occasion, we have other "family friendly" breeds. If you are searching for a collie, we'd like to help you find a wonderful companion that fits your family's lifestyle. All of our dogs are fully vaccinated and are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. They have also been tested and are negative for heartworm and are on heartworm preventative.
