My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ernie the Schnoodle that thinks he’s a Grey Hound.

Ernie is around 3 years old he loves to play with his toys and play fetch, even alone he will throw them and look at us with surprise then go fetch it quickly. He takes a lot of time to get used to new people but once he does he gets very excited. When he’s excited he will show you affection with ‘love bites’ where he doesn’t actually bite but puts his mouth around your hand, arm or nose if he’s kissing you. He also loves to run around in the yard and chase everything. He’s very affectionate and loves to be carried and cuddle really close to us.
Kids scare him a lot so he tends to run away from them, loud noises scare him too. He can be very timid at times, but has never showed anger or frustration. He is just afraid and will hide behind someone he trusts or he may pee out of fear.
He’s been trying really hard to potty train but still has a few accidents. He loves going outside and running with our other little dogs and gets really excited chasing them. He’s learning to be gentle with them but will bite ears or tails and pull. He also doesn’t like to share us with them.
His favourite toys are stuffies and ropes to pull. He likes to walk but doesn’t like being on a leash. It’s something we have been working on.
He will take his toys and place them where
he wants them very strategically then…or at least that’s what it looks like…and then will get ready to go to bed. By 9pm he’s tired and wants to sleep.
When he’s hungry or his routine is a little off he gets a bit overly excited and will nudge at you.
He’s a sweet boy who needs to get to know someone before he is ok with them. Once he does get to know you he will love you unconditionally and he deserves the same.
