Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Samantha was one of over two dozen rabbits that had to be rescued from a property where they had long been abandoned. Neighbors tried their best to keep everyone fed, but ultimately it came down to many bunny-safe rescues and shelters in the area to help. Bunny Lu was able to help rehabilitate these bunnies, and we ended up with two here at the rescue, Sally and Samantha. Now that they have gone through all the necessary prerequisites, such as spaying, health checks, and socialization, they are ready to find their furever homes!
Of the two bunnies, Samantha is much more adventurous. From the first night we brought her in to the rescue, she was always exploring every inch of her enclosure. Because of how she was previously treated, we don't believe that she had ever even had access to hay before and lived almost entirely off of pellets. However, within the first ten minutes of being put in her space here at Bunny Lu, she started munching on hay and seemed to realize how much she loved it!
Samantha would do very well in a furever home where she can learn how to be a house rabbit, instead of a rabbit who was stuck out in a shed in a cage that was barely bigger than her.

More about this rescue
Bunny Lu Adoptions, Inc. is a volunteer, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) domestic rabbit rescue and education organization located in Waynesboro, Virginia. We are dedicated to educating people about the joys of having a house rabbit(s) companion and promoting care that will give those companions the best chance at a happy, healthy, long life.
Bunny Lu also provides temporary foster care to abandoned and neglected rabbits and arranges adoptions into loving, indoor, forever homes. While we do not condone the surrendering of rabbits, we understand that providing assistance to those people trying to improve their rabbits' quality of life sometimes requires finding a new home for the rabbits.
