My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Daphne's story is a testament to resilience and the power of a loving heart.

This young beauty was discovered outside, already a mother to a litter of kittens before she had even reached her first birthday.

Unfortunately, Daphne's journey didn't stop there. In a freak accident, she managed to slip away from us and went missing for an entire month. During this time, she faced the challenges of the great outdoors once again, but she stayed nearby and was found healthy and ready to be indoors again.

Daphne can be a little shy at first, which is understandable given her adventurous past. But don't let that initial reserve fool you. Once you begin to pet her, Daphne transforms into the most affectionate cat you could imagine. Her purr is legendary-it rumbles like a jet engine, filling the room with warmth and comfort.

This lovely lady is looking for a forever home where she can feel safe and cherished. Daphne would thrive in a calm environment with a patient owner who can give her the time she needs to adjust and blossom. In return, she promises to fill your days with her gentle purrs and loving presence.

More about this rescue

We are a volunteer-run, 501(c)3 foster-based rescue, which means we do not have a central building. Our rescue registration number with the State of NY is RR131. For logistical reasons, all of our foster homes are in Lewis and Jefferson Counties. If there is an animal you are interested in meeting, we ask you to first fill out the adoption application, which can be found in the main menu. You do not need to live in Lewis or Jefferson county to adopt; we do adopt out of state (and to Canada as well!)
