My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Megan is a sweet and petite 1-year-old black cat, weighing just 5 pounds. She was surrendered to our rescue due to her previous home having too many cats. Now, Megan is ready to find her forever home! Megan is litterbox trained and always comes when called. She has been socialized with children and absolutely loves them! She also gets along well with other cats, making her a wonderful addition to any family. If you're looking for a loving and playful companion, Megan might be the perfect match for you. Visit ITVrescue.org to apply to adopt Megan today. Let's find Megan her forever home!

All of our cats are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, and spayed or neutered.

More about this shelter

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
