My name is Sunset!

Sunset is the sweetest little gentleman. He will greet you at the door everyday with meows and love. If you are looking for a cat who is content to be your companion but also has a playful side Sunset it the perfect fit. He is a silly, sweet, curious and loving guy. He is great at entertaining himself and loves to play with his toys (and even objects that aren’t toys, like hair ties). If you work a normal 9-5 he does not mind being alone but he will be happy to see you when you return and greet you with lots of love and demands for head and cheek scratches. He loves to sit beside you while you watch tv, and he’s a curious boy who would like a sniff of anything you’re eating (although he won’t try to eat it new smells are exciting !). Sunset is adept at finding a few favorite spot in the house which he will rotate through during the day having a nap in each one. His favorite spots are by your side and by an open window where he can look out at the world. Sometimes sunset is ok with a belly rub and sometimes he is not. He gets the zoomies when he’s really excited, and he will let you know when it’s playtime. He definitely shows a crazy playful side when he is trusting of you, and he is still learning how to transition out of play time.
Sunset loves being the center of attention when he’s in a playful mood, and while he’s gentle he’s still learning to transition out of playtime without pawing at his people. We think he would probably do best with the someone who has had a cat before. Sunset is a fast learner and he has been doing great when we redirect him to one of his toys but he would probably do best in a household without children (for now). He is housetrained, but sometimes can’t resist cables and cords and will occasionally scratch on the rug (although we redirect him to his scratching board and reward this, it’s a work in progress). All in all he is a lovely, sweet cat who just enjoys the company of his people.
