My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, Im Jackson! I am 10.5 years old, and weigh about 13 lbs. Im a male schnauzer mix, but my foster family thinks I look part papillon as well. You would never know Im 10.5 years old Im young at heart!

I lived my whole life with my mom, who passed away earlier this year. Im neutered, very smart, fully house trained (have never had an accident at my foster familys house), sleep well through the night, walk perfectly on a leash, and love car rides. I am extremely affectionate, and love getting pets, cuddles, and belly rubs. I like other small dogs. And I love to dance on my hind legs when I am excited for treats or walks.

Sometimes when my foster parents have their daughter over, I get a little protective of them. I would do best in a quiet home with 1 or 2 mature adults without kids, who have guests over infrequently.

I think youll love me right away, and I cant wait to find my forever family!

Our adoption process takes several steps and cannot be completed in one day. All of our volunteers work full time and assist the rescue in their spare time. Please allow 2-3 business days for a response.

* Applicants must be willing to make a ten plus year commitment to their new family member.

* Applicants must commit to daily exercise, walks, trips to the dog park or play in the back yard. A well exercised dog is a happy well behaved dog!

* Applicants living in a rental property must provide proof of pet policy from landlord.

* Applicants must provide a veterinarian reference and if there are existing dogs in the household. All pets must be spayed/neutered and current on all shots and heartworm medication.

*Please allow at least a 7-14 day adjustment period for your new dog. Rescue dogs go thru a lot of changes and need a few days to get used to their new surroundings and adjust. Adopting a dog should be a serious commitment, so please be willing to work out the kinks. Our dogs aren't perfect but with proper training and guidance they make awesome, loving pets.

*Our adoption fees vary based on the age and medical needs of the dogs.
