Hello there! I'm Dante, a nearly 6-year-old Collie with a stunning white and brown coat and brown markings on my head. I'm a bit larger than your average Collie, weighing in at a healthy 85 pounds of pure love and loyalty.
Life has thrown me some curveballs. My owner passed away, and I spent much of my time in a dog run. But now, thanks to my wonderful friends at Senior Dog Rescue of Oregon, I've had a chance to shine! They gave me the best grooming ever, and you should see my before and after photos - I look and feel like a brand new dog!
I'm great with kids, cats, and other dogs, so I'd fit right into a family with other furry friends. Plus, I'm house trained, so I know how to behave indoors. I don't chew anything, but I do need some training, but nothing crazy. I need to learn the simple commands "sit, stay, and off". My foster mom is working with me and I've already gotten pretty good!
I'm gentle and a little playful with the others, but haven't had a chance to learn how to play with other so I just follow along. I'm ready to leave the past behind and start a new chapter filled with love, fun, and lots of walks and belly rubs. If you're looking for a loyal, gentle, and beautiful companion, look no further. Let's make a lifetime of happy memories together!

Go meet their pets
We are a foster-based, volunteer-driven rescue. All SDRO dogs available for adoption are listed on our website. The listing includes information to help you decide if one of our dogs is right for your household. If you are interested in adopting a dog, please complete an online application. If your home suits the dog's needs, we'll call you to discuss your application and ask any follow-up questions. Our experienced adoption coordinator will discuss the dog’s needs with you to help determine if your home is the right fit. Since we do not operate a shelter and all our dogs are in foster care, a meet-and-greet will be your first opportunity to meet the dog face-to-face.
