For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
This helps Ark-Valley Humane Society with pet care costs.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Age: 5.5 years old Weight: 71 pounds Dogs? Possibly - I have gotten along with another dog in my previous home and would do best with an older, calmer, less playful dog. Cats? Possibly - I have lived with and gotten along with a cat in the past! Kids? Older kids required.
About: If you ever dreamed of having a little black bear as a companion, Mickey might be the gal for you. Although shy at first, she quickly opens up once she gets to know you. Her favorite hobby is sauntering over to wherever you are to give you little kisses on your face. She enjoys being reassured that she is indeed a good girl and prefers to hang out with her person in the shadiest spot in the yard. If you give Mickey a chance, she will be sure to steal your heart.
If interested in adopting me, please make sure to fill out an application prior to calling the office. https://www.ark-valley.org/adoption-matchmaker-application/ Please note most of our animals are in foster homes and appointments are required for meeting adoptable animals. This animal may have one or two breeds listed on its profile based on its physical characteristics, however our staff is never certain. The majority of animals that come through our shelter are mixed breed and have not had a breed test done.
