My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bashful, Affectionate, Chill

No Trick Pony is a doll! She loves chin scritches and back scratches, and will take all that you give her. If you stop, then she'll simply scritch herself by rubbing her face on whatever's closest to her She will meow to ask for those wonderful scritches, and though she might be nervous for a while when you pick her up, give her some time to get used to you and she will sit in your lap and purr.

Pony is an older gal and is not really into playing. You can wave the wand toy around if you like, and she will support you in that activity by watching you!

She was interested in the resident cat and kitten when she was in foster, and they sniffed each other nicely. She might prefer the adult cat to the kitten, just because the adult cat is more chill. Pony has relaxed body language when the adult cat is walking around her.

Pony came to APA! with a spinal injury, so she has hind leg mobility issues. She takes meds and needs her bladder expressed (gently squeezed to help her go pee), which you can do before you go to work and when you get back. Her foster works 10 hour days and cared for her just fine. She appreciates attention, pets, and treats, especially Churu!

Manual expression is straightforward and can be simpler than you may imagine. APA! will show you how and make sure you are comfortable with it. Check out this video! bit.ly/CatExpressionDemo

The ideal home for Pony is quiet, with people who can keep her on a schedule/routine. She will be nervous at first, and will likely hide in her chosen comfy spot, but she can be persuaded out with Churu and pets. She would love a home with people to scritch her chin and hang out with her!

Pony is a brown and orange torbie with big ol' green eyes - one of them has a brown spot on it. She looks like a pretty watercolor painting!

This sweet girl is looking for special people to love! Contact us today for more information, and to arrange a meet & greet.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
