My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Karla (the artist formerly known as Carlotta) is a snuggly, affectionate young gal who spent a bit of time in foster- here’s what we learned:

- She is house and crate trained (always allow for adjustment time in a new home)
- She loves to chase balls and hoard them around the house
- She’s friendly, independent, energetic, playful, curious and lovable
- She can be nervous when meeting new people but warms up quickly
- She gives the best puppy kisses and she loves belly rubs
- She is very smart and is working on sit, down, wait and come
- She’s a vocal lady who wants to tell you all about her day
- She will likely do best in a home with cats or other small critters

Karla was briefly adopted but was returned to the shelter through no fault of her own. She was described as a couch potato who loves toys, does well on walks, and is always close to her humans.

Karla is also a day trip rockstar and spent a day out of the shelter exploring Tucson and getting as many belly rubs as she could stand. She was described as loving and curious.

“Karla is a wonderful lovebug who bonds with people very quickly and wants to be involved in whatever her people are doing. She is smart and catches on to things quickly.”

Here`s what one volunteer at the shelter said:

“Karla is a sweet girl who is easy to handle. Doesn’t pull on leash and not reactive. She knows sit, watch me, and likes to cuddle.”

Karla would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit and is looking for a home without small dogs or other small pets. Ask to meet Karla today!!
