My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sofie, a sweet and affectionate cat looking for her forever home. Born on September 12, 2022, Sofie was surrendered to us because her previous owner had young children, and Sofie wasn't comfortable with the hustle and bustle of little ones running about. Having been an indoor cat her entire life, Sofie is feeling overwhelmed in the shelter but still shows her loving nature by curling up in your lap and tucking herself in for pets and cuddles.

Sofie would make a great companion for a single person or a home without young children. She adores people and loves to be close, making her the perfect lap cat. Sofie is spayed, fully vetted, and ready for adoption today!

If you think Sofie could be the perfect companion for you, please apply online at eastshoreha.org. Once we process and approve your application, we'll contact you to schedule a meet and greet. With an approved application, you can even adopt Sofie on the same day!

Give Sofie the loving home she deserves-apply today!

Additional adoption info

Before You Adopt: Please consider these factors before filling out an application:

1. Animals are expensive to care for. They require food, shelter, toys, grooming, and veterinary health and dental care.

2. Animals require attention. You have to clean up after their messes, protect them from anything that might harm them, and make sure they get adequate play time and exercise. Some require training, which takes patience, love, and commitment.

Adopting a Friend: Adopter will fill out an application to start the adoption process. We don't adopt on a first come, first served basis, but instead adopt based on what we feel is in the animal's best interest. We DO NOT ship animals.

Adoption Requirements:

1. Have verifiable identification

2. Be at least 18 years of age

3. If renting, have landlords consent to bring a pet to your home

4. All adopted pets must be spayed or neutered

5. All pets must leave the shelter on a collar and leash, or in a pet carrier

6. Agree to all terms of the adoption contract; ESHA reserves the right to deny any application
