Meet Han Solo: Your Loving, Cuddly Companion!

Hello there! My name is Han Solo, and I'm a gentle soul looking for a loving forever home where I can blossom at my own pace. I may be a bit shy at first, but once I warm up to you, get ready for lots of purrs and snuggles! I'm the largest of my siblings, but have a tender big teddy bear heart.

I have a beautiful light orange coat with adorable white paws that make me quite the sight to behold. My favorite activities include lounging in cozy spots and curling up in your lap for a good cuddle session.

I might take a little time to adjust to new surroundings, but with patience and love, I promise to be a devoted and affectionate companion. Whether you're looking for a feline friend to share quiet moments with or someone to keep you company during Netflix marathons, I'm your guy!

Better Together
Han Solo would really like to be adopted with one of his siblings-Leia or Luke Skywalker. But for the right home, he'd consider being separated -but requires another kitty friend for companionship.

Adopt-A-Pet Events in the Kansas City Area

Cat adoptions are held at the PetSmart at 115th and Metcalf in Overland Park KS every Saturday from 12:00 to 3:00. Cats available for adoption every day at PetSmart in-store cage area.

Dog adoptions are held at the PetSmart in Olathe KS at 119th and Strang Line, every Saturday from 12:00 to 3:00.

Dog adoptions are held at the PetSmart in Lee's Summit MO at 920 NE Sam Walton Lane, also every Saturday from 12:00 and 3:00.

The Heart of America Humane Society is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit organization helping to place shelter and foster animals into permanent homes in and around the greater Kansas City metro area.

Our goal is to save and improve the lives of Kansas City's homeless companion animals by promoting responsible pet ownership. The Heart of America Humane Society (HAHS) partners with the Lee's Summit Animal Shelter (Lee's Summit MO) and KCK Animal Services (Kansas City KS) to increase pet adoptions into responsible, permanent homes.

Background
Our organization does not have a permanent facility or paid staff, so many of our adoptions take place at PetSmart stores and occasionally through other event venues. Some events raise awareness and bring in donations for our animal support efforts, while others help acknowledge and show appreciation for our own volunteers (who perform all duties outside of their regular jobs).
