Age: 8 years Breed: Blue Nose Bully Arrived: 6/28/24
Gretal is a sweet senior gal with a heart of gold ??. At 8 years old, she’s mellow but still full of charm! We believe she’s deaf, but that doesn’t stop her from being vocal—she loves to `chat` and let you know how she’s feeling.
?????Personality:
?? Friendly: She loves meeting people and will happily accept all the pets and belly rubs she can get.
?? Dog-Tolerant: Gretal doesn’t always engage in play, but she’s comfortable and easygoing around other dogs, making her a good fit for homes with dog-friendly pets.
?? Vocal: Gretal has a lot to say! Whether it’s about her excitement or simply asking for attention, you’ll often hear her adorable `conversations.`
Playgroup Behavior:
Gretal is tolerant of other dogs, meaning she’s polite and fine with their company, but she doesn’t necessarily seek out playtime.
Looking For:A quiet and loving home where she can relax, feel safe, and enjoy her senior years with people who appreciate her unique style of communication. Gretal is hoping to find a family that understands her special needs and is ready to give her the love and attention she deserves! ??
?? Meet Gretal!

More about this shelter
Marion County Animal Services is the largest animal shelter in our county. Operating as a no-kill shelter, our kennels are almost always full. We provide adoption, fostering opportunities, work with rescues, accept volunteers and provide the training for veterinary assisting students. In addition, we run the Neuter Commuter and provide all animal control services in Marion County.
Due to the sheer volume of animals in our care, we need lots of help from our community in our effort to adopt out more and save more!
We don't only accept the ideal animals into our shelter. We can offer you quite the array of animal breeds and personalites! Keep an open mind when visiting our shelter- you may find that your perfect match is not at all what you set out to find.
We're here to help you as well as our homeless and lovable animals.
