How this pet arrived:
Cow Cow was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team on June 14, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Cow Cow, a sweet and sensitive girl who's searching for her new home! Cow Cow is shy at first, but warms up over time in a quiet environment. Once she feels safe, Cow Cow actively seeks attention and loves being pet! Don't tell her she's too big to be a lap dog, she doesn't care! Cow Cow will gladly curl up on her favorite persons lap and be their shadow, following them around the house! Cow Cow has a positive history with other dogs and cats, but any children in the home should be age 10 and up due to her timidness and be present for interaction. If you're ready to open your heart to Cow Cow and provide her with the patience and care she needs, ask about adopting today! Want to speed up the adoption process? More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
