What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Charger is an 80lb lap dog looking for an home with a big fenced-in yard and older, respectful kids. He enjoys full body hugs, zoomies, long-distance fetch, and swimming and leash walks. He is good with some dogs but not all.
He is very trainable and with consistent work he walks nicely on a leash and has largely given up bad habits like barking at or chasing things that are loud and / or fast (e.g. birds, cars, bikes). However, he has also developed some resource-guarding behavior that are incompatible with life with little kiddos (particularly little kiddos who are not easily trained, sigh).
The re-homing fee is $250 and a meeting with a trainer and veterinarian to make sure it will be a successful transition for him and you.
