When Scout was just a baby, she was left in the lobby of Chicago Animal Care and Control. That was back in June. She was totally emaciated and so scared, and just a baby. We took her into our rescue and found her a great foster home. From there she was adopted into another loving home. Unfortunately, circumstances have changed and her adopters are no longer able to keep her.
Scout lives with 3 kids aged 2-11, and while she does not have a mean bone, she is still a sensitive soul like she was when she was a baby and the fast movements and loud noises can be too much for her at times, and she gets spooked and barks. So we do think a quieter home would suit this shy lady best. Scout is housebroken, crate trained, and she absolutely loves dogs!
Her foster mom writes, "Scout is a shy girl who needs someone who shows her love, be gentle, and will be patient with her until she gains comfort and trust in that individual. When Scout feels comfortable, she can relax and snuggle up next to you either on the couch or the bed. She likes to spend a lot of time outside with our dog. She loves lounging in the sun. Scout will be a wonderful addition to someone's life."
We hope you will inquire about her today!
Scout's adoption fee is $250. She is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
