My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Hazel! I'm a talker and a lover and a player. I've been told once or twice "I can dish it but I can't take it because even though I'm the instigator of most wrestling matches I'm also the one who cries foul first. But they're all wrong, I can take it, I just like to cry when I'm losing.

I currently live with 3 kittens, 2 big humans, 3 small humans, 1 big dog and a small dog. I love them all, but my favorite? The small dog, hands down, no contest. He's a Cavalier King Charles and he's an absolutely dream boat and I love him so much. I love playing with him and I looooove snuggling with him. Do you happen to have a gentle loving dog at your house? I would really love a forever dog of my very own to keep! I would also love a kitten companion. I have a foster sister named Mathilda who I love and a biological sister named Willow too! But I bet I'd get along with just about any kitten I met!

Aside from a pup and kitty bestie I'd love a human who's looking to shower me with loves and kisses. Sometimes I'll have to shout for attention and once somebody finally stops and listens I rev my purr engine real loud. I love snuggles! I'm good with kids of all ages but if I'm being honest I think I'd prefer to live with older ones (9+). I'm a special girl looking for a special kind of family! Could that be you? Come meet me and let's find out!

Kittens need buddies! We require that kittens be adopted with a sibling or go to a home that already has another young companion animal. If you already have a young animal or another kitten in your home, great! If not, Hazelnut Tree will need to be adopted with her sister Willow Tree or her foster sibling Mathilda.

The adoption fee for a kitten is $250.

Note: Kittens must be 10+ weeks old before they can go home.

Additional adoption info

If you’re thinking about adding a kitten or two to your family, a Bitty Kitty is a great choice! Kittens who have been bottlefed tend to be extra friendly and snuggly!

By adopting a kitten from the Bitty Kitty Brigade, you’ll be supporting our no-kill organization and making room for us to take in another orphan kitten.

All of our cats receive high-quality veterinary care and exams. Prior to adoption, all of our kittens are:

FeLV/FIV tested
spayed/neutered
treated for external and internal parasites
microchipped
FVRCP (distemper) vaccinated

Please allow 24-48 hours for a reply to an adoption inquiry.

More about this rescue

The Bitty Kitty Brigade is a foster-based rescue for orphaned neonatal kittens in the Twin Cities, MN and surrounding areas.

Our mission is:
To provide care for orphaned neonatal kittens and to partner with animal rescue organizations and impound facilities to improve survival rates within the neonatal kitten population.

The Bitty Kitty Brigade provides care for kittens ages 0-6 weeks who are without mothers and not yet eating on their own. Once weaned, the kittens are either transferred to one of our partner no-kill organizations or transferred to another caregiver within our organization where they will be cared for until adoption age.
