My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Riley, the irresistible 8-week-old black Lab/Hound mix searching for his tribe. Weighing just 5 lbs, Riley is a tiny bundle of intelligence and charm. This sweet pup's journey hasn't been easy-- due to circumstances beyond his control, his previous owner could no longer keep him. She deeply cared for Riley and wants nothing more than to ensure he finds the best possible forever home where he'll be cherished and loved.

Despite his young age, Riley is impressing everyone with his potty training progress. While he occasionally forgets to step outside for a pee break from his crate during the day, he has never once soiled it with number 2. At night, his foster mom say he's been the perfect sleeping buddy in bed, peacefully snoozing without a peep or accident.

Riley truly has a heart of gold and adores playing with other dogs and cats alike. Riley's foster family describes him as incredibly smart—he's already mastered sitting and is eager to learn more tricks, especially when treats are involved.

While Riley is up to date on all age appropriate vaccinations, his new family will be in charge of keeping him on schedule for future care, including getting him neutered when the time is right.

Could you be the perfect match for Riley? If you're ready to open your heart and home to this silly little guy, apply for adoption today at https://peace4paws.org/adoption-application. Riley is eagerly waiting to meet his new family and begin a lifetime of happiness together.

More about this rescue

Peace4paws is a 501 (c) 3 non profit public charity centered in Northern New Jersey. Through our foster home system, we are able to support the rehoming and adoption of dogs from kill shelters as well as facilities of research and related fields. Founded in 2007, our initial mission focused on supporting sanctuary and forever homes for animals retired from use in research and related fields. In the past few years we have broadened our scope of rescue. We continue to help our own retired research animals and independent sanctuaries but also save shelter dogs. We are able to do this work through the efforts of our volunteer network and generous donors. Please see our website or facebook page "Peace4Paws" to meet our adoptable dogs, success stories or volunteer opportunities. We organize fundraising events centered around yoga, music, health, or animal friendly activities. We are also involved with student outreach and education. We would love to work with you.
