My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Annie!

Please excuse me but do you really think a 6 month old pretty girl like myself should be without her forever family? Yup, me neither so maybe you can help me with that while I attend the Paws in Prison program to learn how to be a polite yet playful puppy. My life started kinda rough, but I see brighter days ahead. I am already one of the top in my little class, and it's only been a week. Look at me go..... so if you don't wanna miss out on being my forever, then please go to www.pawsinprisontx.org today and fill out an application for me!

Visit pawsinprisontx.org to read the guidelines and fill out an application for me TODAY!!

And if you can't adopt me, it's easy to help me! All you have to do is go to the purple SPONSOR tab in my Petfinder ad and make a tax deductible donation. You'll show me some love, and get a recept for your taxes right away!!

More about this rescue

We are a prison located in Lockhart TX. We rescue dogs from rural area shelters and take them into the prison for training on basic obedience. They are also house trained and crate trained. Training is done by the women inmate handlers. A professional trainer comes to the prison weekly to teach the inmates how to train the dogs. Dogs live at the prison for 2-3 months, in the cells with the inmates, while they are being trained.

All dogs are up to date on their shots, heartworm negative and on preventative, spayed/neutered, microchipped and trained for basic obedience.
