My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Carter is the most energetic and goofy guy. He loves playing in puddles and running around at the park. He also loves squirrels and pigeons. He is the most intelligent dog and will remember which shops have treats for him on daily walks. He also loves saying hi to new people and pets.

Carter would thrive in a home where either he is the only dog or he has an older dog to help show him the ropes. With German Shepherd/ Pitbull in his mix, among other breeds like Chow Chow, Carter is highly energetic and would thrive in a place with a yard where he can run around and explore. He also needs a lot of mental stimulation and loves playing with his Kongs and treat dispensers.

ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.

Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States
