My story

Born approximately November 28th 2019, Bartlet is a small male mixed breed (we think Lhasa Apso mix). Bartlet is a fun, sweet boy with a lot of energy! He loves his people and his foster siblings. He enjoys playing with toys, chewing on Nylabones, and food in general.
We are working on his leash walking, but he gets better every time. He loves cuddling with his people. He will make some lucky person a wonderful companion. Bartlet came to us with a cherry eye which you can see in some of these pictures. Mikey's Chance was able to have it fixed with the help of our wonderful donors. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require an adoption application to be filled out which includes personal references. An in-Home check by a Mikey's Chance volunteer is also performed prior to adoption. Our dogs come to the adopter "ready-to-go" with current Vet health checks, all shots and vaccinations current and the animal spayed or neutered, as well as micro-chipped.

Our adoption process can take 2-4 weeks to process as we are run completely by volunteers, all of whom work full time jobs.

We depend on a network of volunteers and fosters for the care of our dogs. The dogs are fostered primarily in Tri-Cities, WA. We often have Meet 7 Greet events at Petsmart and Paws Natural Pet Emporium LLC both in Kennewick.

"Mikey's Chance" is a dog rescue organization organized under Washington State articles of Incorporation as a Non-profit Charity. We focus mainly on saving dogs that are at risk or on “Death Row” in shelters in our area, and placing them to great families. We work with individual adopters, private rescuers, and rescue organizations that share our values. All our dogs are up to date on shots, sterilized, and microchipped prior to adoption, and they are all carefully evaluated to ensure the best possible match with adopters.
