Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.

MEET CHICKEN!
Looking for the total package - adorable, social, and fun? Chicken's your girl! Chicken is a teenaged cat who was found living as a stray in Philadelphia. She spent the first 6+ months of her life living on the streets though you would never know it as she absolutely loves living in a home with humans! The transition from street life to home life was an easy one for Chicken. She took to using a litter box right away and has not had an accident since she started using it.
Overall Chicken is a very sweet and playful cat who would do well in most homes. She spends most of her days napping on her foster mom's lap as she works from home. Chicken is generally very respectful around the office, but she is still a kitten at heart so she will bat around a jingly ball when she’s taking a break from napping. She loves to play and is not picky about her toys, she's just as happy swatting around a paper towel roll or a tissue as she is a fancy cat toy. Chicken currently lives with two dogs in her foster home and while she’s generally respectful of them, she does occasionally like to swat them in a request to play. When it comes to people she is happy to meet everyone, and it takes her all of 2 seconds to start purring and head-butting new friends. Chicken’s temperament is sweet and calm enough that she would likely do well in a home with pet-savvy kids. She has shown no signs of aggression, and has never hissed at a person. She has no issue with being picked up, having her nails clipped, being groomed, etc. She really is the total package!
Chicken has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She has shown to be a healthy girl! Interested in adopting her? Visit cityofelderlylove.org to complete an online adoption questionnaire or email us at info@cityofelderlylove.org!
