My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mistletoe!

Our spirited, mature gal with a zest for life that's simply contagious! She is a perfect medium size at only 40lbs, a wheaten terrier/poodle mix and is 12 years old - but we don't buy it!

Mistletoe defies her age daily with her playful and spunky demeanor. She enjoys snuggles, car rides and walks. She may have a few grey hairs, but her heart is full of love and loyalty. No crazy puppy antics here- she is potty trained, crate trained, comes when called, and even knows a couple of tricks! She does not like living with other dogs or cats, but does great as the only dog in the home and we think she deserves that in her senior years.

Mistletoe would thrive in a serene environment where she can relax and be cherished. If you're looking for a faithful companion to share your days with, she is your girl!

She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, has had a dental cleaning/extractions, senior bloodwork - you name it - she's had the works and is a healthy girl! She is in Brandon/Tampa and her adoption fee is $200.

If you're looking for an affectionate companion who still has plenty of pep in her step, she is the perfect match.

More about this rescue

We are a non-breed specific dog rescue group, although we do tend to take in mostly large and extra-large breeds, and especially those in the hunting / sporting groups.

Love for Paws exists to protect and advocate for dogs in our community through responsible adoption, the donation of supplies and veterinary care to those in need, by assisting in the effort to limit the overpopulation of these animals and by promoting kindness and healthy opportunity for life.
