Meet Poppy!
Poppy and his siblings came to us with their mom Iris. Iris is a sweet Boston Terrier mix and all of her pups look like they have some Chihuahua in them too. These babies are tiny! They are 7 weeks old (as of June 5) and only weigh one pound. They will probably grow to about 6-7 lbs when full grown, so they will always remain very small.
The pups are all well socialized and are great with other dogs and cats. They are in good health and have received their first puppy vaccination.
We would like to see these pups in homes with children over 10. The pups are very tiny and fragile and can easily be injured. We prefer a home with x-small breed experience.
Small puppies, just like larger dogs, need training and socialization in order to grow up to become good canine citizens. We often see training being neglected for small dogs, and this can lead to major behavior issues when they are adults. We ask our adopters to commit to gentle training methods.
The pups are on a vaccination schedule and are de-wormed. They are too young to be spayed or neutered. We prefer to do this between 8-12 months of age and the cost of this in covered by their adoption fee.
Their adoption fee is $525
