My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

#A5627419 Jack is ready to walk right into your life with his adorable white sock feet - one with little polka dots! This cutie is pint sized for now, but he’s still growing and learning, like all puppies do. He may be a bit timid in the scary shelter environment, but with a calm and patient family, he’ll blossom into his best self! Jack came into the shelter with his sister Darlene (A5627420), so he may be good with other dogs - but he’s definitely good with people! He loves to get pets, and right now, would prefer to be carried rather than walking on the leash. Jack would do best with a family willing to spoil him, but also one that helps him with all the basic puppy training. Are you ready to grow and learn together with Jack?

  • 6 month old black and white pointer mix - has a soft coat that is lovely to pet

  • 34 pound neutered male - but still a puppy, so definitely not done growing!

  • UTD on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today! However, has had some tummy trouble, so will need to be adopted on a health waiver, with adopter to follow up with own vet for further diagnostics and potential treatment

  • Came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 5/21/24 as a stray

  • Absolute cutie!

  • Puppylike energy, but a bit timid in the shelter environment - could use some confidence building, perhaps as a little brother to an existing pup sibling

  • Will need basic puppy training - commands, manners, leash work, and potty training

More about this rescue

United Hope for Animals is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to creating a world where our relationship with animals is guided by compassion and responsibility. We actively work toward bringing an end to the needless suffering of companion animals through community-based programs here at home and across the border.

The United States euthanizes more than one million dogs and cats each year. Through our Shelter Support Program, we work in partnership with local shelters to reduce this number by raising public awareness about shelter adoption and facilitating rescue and adoption of sheltered animals. In the process, we bring dignity and hope to the many lives that would otherwise pass anonymously through the animal control system.
