My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Espresso , is a male shorthair tuxedo kitten. He was brought into the Windsor Kittens program after a Good Samaritan found him dodging cars on a busy road in Charlotte, NC. Thankfully, he was not injured and immediately leaned into the safety of being in good hands. We estimate his birth month to be May 2024.

While he chirps and plays, we vibe out singing the hot song of the summer to him: He's thinkin' 'bout me every night, oh, Is it that sweet? I guess so Say you can't sleep, baby, I know, That's that me, espresso

Espresso has begun his kitten vaccinations, and is scheduled for his neuter, microchip and rabies in late July. Due to his young age, he is required to go to a home where another pet is present.

He is currently in foster care with London Fog, and applications interested in the pair will be prioritized.

Espresso's adoption fee is $200 (for Espresso and London Fog it is $335.)

His Adoption Plan Eligibility is: (1) Foster to Adopt or (2) Adopt Later. Both plans will require a 50% deposit toward his adoption fee.

A volunteer will review your application and reach out once it has been approved.

Meet the Pet

Once your application is approved, a playdate to meet the cat(s) you are interested in will be scheduled.

After completing an application, a Windsor Kittens volunteer will reach out to you to talk to you about next steps including opportunities to meet the cat(s) if you haven't already done so.

Playdates will only be scheduled for approved applicants to protect the safety of our cats and foster families. Adoptions are matched based on best fit, not who applied for a particular cat first. Adoptions are not considered finalized until an adoption contract has been completed and the adoption fee has been paid to Windsor Kittens.

Windsor Kittens got its start in 2022 when four women in the Windsor Park neighborhood of east Charlotte, NC came together to address the large number of community cats in their area. Since then, this grassroots organization has expanded its efforts to rescue more cats for adoption and help greater numbers of community cats through trap-spay/neuter-vaccinate-release (TNR). Windsor Kittens loves helping cats find their forever homes.
