Meet Perrie, an affectionate and sweet 4-year-old female Abyssinian cutie. She is brown with grey & black stripes and a white chest and socks. She is a healthy, happy kitty who prefers to be the only cat in your home. She can be a bit shy at first, but she loves people and will interact with anyone who cares to engage when she is ready.
Curious and affectionate, she loves to play, and will announce when she has a toy and is ready for play or a cuddle. She is also known as a lap sitter.
Her favorite toys are string ribbon type toys on wands, and small puffy balls that she carries in her mouth, which she enjoys chasing if you throw them for her. She is smart and adept at puzzles, too!
Perrie is fully litter box trained and uses a scratching post like a champ. Her favorite activity is finding treats hidden in the house like a scavenger hunt. Her favorite treats are tuna flavored anything.
Silly endearing habits are climbing into every new box or bag brought into the house and she loves “helping” to make the beds.

The volunteers at Jake's Place are diverse group of dedicated animal lovers. Some of us have worked in rescue before, some are new to it. Some of us have known each other for years, others more recently involved. Having all come together in the last few years and finding that we had the same passion to help cats, we started thinking about the possibilities of putting our various expertise to work in creating something wonderful. While Jake's Place is a relatively new organization, our work goes back 14 years and our energy and drive is stronger than ever. We are committed to rescuing responsibly, fostering in loving & caring homes and finding the best possible forever homes.
