My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rako!

Rako and her siblings were abandoned alongside their momma and had a rough start. But, after being taken in by caring fosters things improved greatly for them!

Rako is the alpha-pup of her family and lets it be known! Her siblings follow her around like the leader and mimic her every move. She is confident, curious, and an all-around great pup.

Strong and smart just like her mother, Rako will take you on many adventures! She will make a great companion dog.

Rako and her siblings show potential for being good farm dogs as they show unique traits of their Labrador Retriever breed, though they are a mix of things as well.

Adopt, don't shop! Rako and his siblings are not bonded but would be great if adopted together!

Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX)
Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Additional adoption info

Adoption application required.

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..

If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted.

So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.

Go meet their pets

We are a TEXAS based rescue who transport regularly to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and will be transported to you if you adopt from us.

Our pets are posted on our website, and most live in homes with their fosters. We live with our foster dogs to get to know them in a home setting and to let them know that life can be good away from the streets.

We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dogs particular quirks and personalities so we can give accurate observations of the dogs you are interested in.

We know that dogs will sometimes behave differently with different people but we can give you our impressions of our pups and situations they have been in.
