My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Mohini, your new best friend! 🐾
Are you looking for a furry companion who's already mastered the basics and is ready to fill your life with love? Look no further than Mohini! This adorable pooch is not just a rescue dog; she's a bundle of joy waiting to bring happiness to her forever home.
Mohini is the epitome of a well-rounded pup: she's fully house trained and crate trained, making her a breeze to have around the house. She gets along with other dogs, so if you already have a furry friend, they could become fast pals! Curious and always up for an adventure, Mohini
adores her morning walks, sniffing out new scents and exploring the world around her. But don't let her curious nature fool you-Mohini also knows how to kick back and relax. She's a cuddly couch potato who loves nothing more than snuggling up with her favorite humans after a long day. When she's not enjoying quality cuddle time, Mohini is a social butterfly; she absolutely loves meeting new people and doggie friends alike, whether big or small. We do not know how she is with cats.
While Mohini is generally well-behaved on leash, she can't help but pull a little when something piques her interest. No worries, though-she takes corrections well and is eager to please, especially if there are treats involved! Speaking of treats, Mohini is treat motivated and has the gentlest mouth when taking them from your hand.
In terms of training, Mohini is a star student. She already knows commands like sit, wait, stay, and leave it, and she's always up for learning new tricks. She's even learned how to slow her walk while crossing pedestrian bridges. Her eagerness to learn makes her a joy to train, and you'll love watching her master new skills. Mohini is not just a charming companion-she's also a health-conscious pup! She's up to date on vaccinations, flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, and she's already microchipped and spayed. One thing to note is that Mohini is heartworm positive, but don't let that deter you! Heartworms are easily treatable and are not contagious. Thanks to the generous support from the Friends of Wake County Animal Center, Mohini has a $400 sponsorship to help her forever humans cover the cost of treatment. With the right care and treatment, she'll be back to full health in no time, ready to enjoy a long and happy life with her forever family. Whether you have other furry friends or kids at home, proper introductions and supervision are imperative! We recommend slow introductions over time to any resident cats or dogs. Adults should properly supervise interactions between animals and children at all times. Safety first, but with Mohini around, fun and love are guaranteed! If you're ready to open your heart and home to Mohini, then come meet this lovable pup and see for yourself why she's the perfect addition to your family. Mohini can't wait to meet you and start the next chapter of her life filled with love, cuddles, and plenty of adventures together!
