Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We pulled Brooks and his brother, Bradley, from the shelter in May. They were on the urgent list for having noncontagious demodex mange. Brooks is ready for adoption! Bradley still has some healing to do, but he’ll be ready soon. The boys are approximately 6 months old and Brooks has turned out to have a pretty tri brindle pattern. He’s very smart, too. Brooks is being neutered on Sunday, July 7th. This is what Brooks’ foster mom has to say about him:
"Brooks is a snuggly playful young pup. He knows how to walk on a leash without pulling, sit, stay, basic recall, and “leave it.” He’s done amazing with his 3 foster cat friends and senior dog buddy. Brooks is almost housebroken. He goes potty when he’s outside and also goes to the door to signal when he has to go out. His occasional accidents happen when he’s caught up playing. Brooks spends his days tickling his human sister with his sniffs that make her giggle. His round living room bed is his favorite spot to play with his toys and enjoy his chewy bones. He doesn't mind it when his brother cozies up and gnaws on the opposite end of the chewy he has. Brooks enjoys watching tv with the family and bath days are his favorite. If the temperature is just right, he nods off while being rinsed. He loves kisses and being picked up, especially by his foster daddy. He shows his appreciation with silly limp back legs and his head on his shoulder. Brooks sleeps a solid 8 hours at night in his kennel. It keeps him safe while he’s still a curious puppy. He’s content when we leave the house and hasn’t whined or shown any signs of separation issues. He’s always up for a trip to the pet store or Starbucks and is working on getting from the parking lot to the sidewalk. (Noisy cars can be a bit scary). He likes to show off his excellent manners while picking out a new toy or ordering himself a warmed croissant. Brooks really is the “bestest boy” and, while it is bittersweet, we know he’s ready to begin the most important adventure of all, finding his forever family. My hope for Brooksy is that his new family will love and appreciate him in the same way we’ve had the privilege during his time with us."
